Tennessee Extension Service Slope demonstration project

Located at our Extension Office, this project showcases successful and unsuccessful plants on a slope with a wide range of sunlight, highlighting seasonal color and interest, with signage identifying plants.

This project started with just large bushes in front of our Extension office.  Those bushes were removed and different plants were added all over the slope.  We had to replace some that did not do well, with other plants along the way.  Pine straw is used as mulch.  It is the only thing the rain would not wash down the slope.

This project is also used to have classes demonstrating different types of gardens.
